 5/18/1986 - Lockport, New York - Virgina Marie DeFilippo Rising, of 24 South Bristol Avenue in Lockport, New York, passed away at Lockport Memorial Hospital Sunday May 18, 1986. Virginia was born in Lockport, New York on June 4th, 1926 the fifth of nine children for Nicolo and Lena Ruberto DeFilippo. Wife of Clifford W. Rising; mother of Mrs. Roger (Cheryl) Poole, David (Susan), Michael (Cynthia), Clifford III (Darcy), Laurie and Lisa, all of Lockport, and Mrs. Rick (Lynne) Steinwandel, Kenmore. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; sister of Dominick (Josephine) DeFilippo, Mary DeFilippo, John (Mary) DeFilippo, Mrs. William (Ellen) Anterline, Frances Florio all of Lockport, Nicholas Jr. (Kathy), Ocala, Fla., Loren (Jerry), Weiton, West Viriginia, and the late Angelo; step-daughter of Frances DeFilippo, Woodbury, NJ; sister-in-law of Mrs. Angelo (Philemona) DeFilippo. Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 and 10:30 in St. Anthony's Church.
