 8/17/2012 - Lockport, New York - Today we decided at the last minute to attend the Kenny Wayne Shepherd show at downtown Lockport's Labatts Canal Concert Series. We took a quick trip to The Guitar Center to try out some potential new guitars and then stopped for a quick dinner at our favorite pizza slice place Pizza Oven. We then contacted Jack and he got us in for a meet and greet with Kenny Wayne prior to the show. After pictures and autographs we headed to the show to catch the last songs of the opener Wanted By The FBI, who were pretty good. Kenny and his band hit the stage around nine and played for a solid two hours of blues and rock. His setlist included his hit songs Deja Voodoo and Blue On Black. It also included some great rock and blues covers with some excellent guitar work added in. Some of these included Yer Blues by the Beatles, I'm A King Bee, Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac and he finished the show with an excellent cover of Hendrix's Voodoo Chile.
