Jimmie Vaughan And Company Jam At The Tralf Texas Style

4/9/2013 - Buffalo, New York - After twenty plus hours of planes and airports the day before we made it home in time to head down to downtown Buffalo to see Jimmie Vaughan and his band play at The Tralf. Dom and I stopped and visited Grandma Florio in Lockport recovering from knee surgery and doing well then hit our favorite pizza slice place Pizza Oven for a quick dinner and then off to the show. We arrived a little late but lucked out and found two seats front row center with a nice couple from Buffalo. The opening act was a local band called Dive House Union who took the stage at eight and were very good, with excellent guitar licks and some good sax and piano work. I am sure we will see them again somewhere locally. After their forty-five minute set Jimmie and his band hit the stage at nine. They played for almost two hours. He played an excellent set of blues although he was struggling on vocals but recieved help from Louann Barton. His band was very good the horns and bass added alot to the sound as Jimmie was sharpening his skills for the Crossroads Guitar Festival later this week at MSG, WE WILL BE THERE! He jammed some guitar behind the head like little brother Stevie Ray used to. He came out and played the tribute to his brother Six Strings Down solo and finished with and encore of DFW. A great show and an excellent venue keep the great acts coming here...Slideshow
