Gladys Knight and the O'Jays Groove Into Tuesday At The Park

8/20/2013 - Lewiston, New York - Another Tuesday in August, so that means another great show at Artpark Tuesday In The Park but todays artists are not classic rock but the Motown soul of Gladys Knight and The O'Jays. It was a perfect evening weatherwise and Gladys Knight was the opening act. At age sixty-nine she looked and sounded fantastic. She played nothing but classics including Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me, Neither One Of Us, The Way We Were and I Heard It Through The Grapevine. She was joined by her brother one of the Pips as he entertained and sang some Al Green and a few others and danced and joked. Gladys finished with her classic Mignight Train To Georgia. Her set was fantastic. The O'Jays came out soon after and did a decent set but not as good as Gladys in my opinion. They played some of their classics including Back Stabbers and Love Train. They wasted some time trying to sell there music to the audience. They finished their set well with their classic For The Love Of Money. A good show overall even Dom enjoyed some of it.Slideshow
