 7/8/2014 - Lewiston, New York - Another week another Tuesday and that means another classic rock concert at Artpark's Tuesday In The Park series todays act the classic rock of Boston. We just returned from the McCartney show in Pittsburgh and headed directly to Lewiston for this show. We stopped at Reids for a quick dinner as usual. We arrived a little later than usual and found a smaller than usual line. Weather would be a factor as heavy rains were forecast. While waiting in line the rains came down pretty hard but stopped prior to entry that was delayed by almost thirty minutes. We managed to get our normal spot and the local band Bruce Wojick and the Struggle hit the stage at 6:30. They played a short but not that great set as the mix was not right. Shortly after Boston hit the stage with no announcement and played a great set. They opened with Rock and Roll Band and played many of their classics. Led by Tom Scholz on guitar and keyboards they ripped thru classics like Smokin, Peace of Mind, Feelin' Satisfied, Don't Look Back,More Than A Feeling and finishing the set with Foreplay / Long Time. Tommy DeCarlo on vocals nailed each and every song and the band was tight. Near the end of the show the rains came again but most of the sellout crowd remained. They finished with a single encore of Party. Again another great classic rock show, thanks again Artpark!Slideshow |
