 12/18/2021 - Lockport, New York - Frances Loretta (DeFilippo) Florio passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 18, 2021, surrounded by family and friends, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born Thursday September 24, 1936 in Lockport, she was a lifelong resident of Lockport. She was born the ninth child of nine of Nicolo and Lena (Ruberto) DeFilippo. She married Jack Florio on July 18th 1959 and had three children Jack, Michael and Daniel. Frances worked at Shamus Restaurant where she waitressed over twenty years. Beside her work, she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, music, and especially loved spending time with her family.
Frances is survived by her sons Jack (Rebecca), Michael (Denise), and Daniel (Deborah) Florio; grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Kevin, Amy, Nicole, and Dominic Florio; great grandchildren Roxy Florio; also, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Dominick, Angelo, Loren, John, Mary, Nicholas DeFilippo, Virginia Rising, and Ellen Anterline. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, January 6th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.
