 4/21/2022 - Buffalo, New York - Today, we headed West down the NYS Thruway to Route 33 into the heart of the city of Buffalo to see the classic rock of the Eagles at KeyBank Center. We stopped for a quick bite at Teds on Transit and then headed to the show. We encountered traffic and long security lines but made it to our seats just a couple minutes prior to the show start which was promptly at 8 PM. Our seats were excellent a couple rows up right of stage about eleven rows back. The band came out and did a great three hour set. The tour dubbed Hotel California 2022 opened with the band playing the entire album in the first set. The band started the show with Hotel California with Joe Walsh and Steuart Smith playing the double neck thru the classic solo. Don Henley lending excellent vocals. The full string section of local musicians and the full choir made for an epic sound on Wasted Time. The band took a break after the Hotel California set and then came out for greatest hits set. Vince Gill played a couple of Glenn Frey songs like Take It To The Limit and Peaceful Easy Feeling and Timothy B. Schmit was excellent on I Cant Tell You Why. After that mix in some classic Joe Walsh covers like In The City, Lifes Been Good and some Funk #49. They closed set two with Heartache Tonight. They finished the three hour plus show with a 4 song encore including Rocky Mountain Way, Boys of Summer and closing with Best Of My Love. Great show that the sellout crowd definitely enjoyed.Slideshow |
