Robert Cray Band Rocks Out The Buffalo Harbour Again

7/18/2009 - Buffalo, NY - The Robert Cray Band appeared tonight at the Erie Canal Harbor in downtown Buffalo, New York, for the second straight year. And for the second straight year Dominic and I were there in the front row watching Robert and his band jam some excellent blues. We also were greeted by the same nice people from last year who offered Dom and I front row. The opening act Indigenous was pretty good with a drummer who looked like cousin Chris and even though they had some technical difficulties the John Hammond Band provided some decent original blues tunes. The evening was breezy and threatened rain but never did. Robert Cray put on his typical awesome show playing all of his hits only as he can and finishing with the final encore being Time Makes Two one of my personal favorites. We started the day with dinner at Dom's favorite burger spot in the world, Reids. We then headed to Buffalo spending some time in the Buffalo Naval Park, checking out the many planes, ships and memorials. A most excellent night of blues. Slideshow
