 4/18/2010 - Oahu, Hawaii - Not Hawaii again, for the fourth year in a row we decided to return to Hawaii for our annual vacation. The journey started in the mid morning driving to Buffalo Airport to catch a late morning flight. The long day of travel brought us from Buffalo to Atanta to Los Angeles and finally to Oahu. Fortunately all the flights were on time and we arrived mid evening in Oahu. We arrived at our junior suite at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel the same place we had stayed at two years prior. We started our Oahu adventure with a return to Lanikai Beach on the North Shore. We spent the first day their swimming, sunning and kayaking to Flat Island just about a mile off shore. We all took turns kayaking out to the island and took in some excellent views of Oahu from there. Lanikai is thee best beach in Hawaii. Unfortunately, Nicole did not protect herself properly and got a very bad sunburn limiting her activity for the remainder of the trip. On our return back to Waikiki Beach at one of the east shore lookouts we encountered security and a film crew blocking off the lookout shooting a movie still not sure what it was but we attempted to get zoomed in pictures but still could not identify anyone. We returned to the hotel and did some swimming in the pool and then had dinner at the Kuhio Beach Grill on Waikiki Beach the food was good and the deserts were better. We took in a nice sunset on Waikiki Beach and called it a day, slightly exhausted. Much more to come. 2 3 4
