Rush Jams Old and New Tunes At First Niagara Center

10/26/2012 - Buffalo, New York - The Canadian classic rock power trio, Rush, brought their Clockwork Angels tour to the First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo New York today. Dominic and I had our tickets as soon as they went on sale months ago. We started the night by meeting Dom's friend at the Anchor Bar for some original Buffalo wings and pizza which were excellent. We headed to the arena which appeared to be sold out the place was packed. The band came out and played a good first set opening with Subdivisions and Big Money. They varied from there normal setlist and threw in Limelight. After a short break they came out for the second set which included stuff from their new album Clockwork Angels. They were accompanied by a string section for the bulk of the second set and the new material was very good and well received by the jam packed audience. They finished the second set with the classics YYZ and Spirit of Radio. For the encore they came out and played more classics including Tom Sawyer and some 2112 Temples of Syrinx. After the show Dom got a free shirt thanks to Buffalo police cracking down on street vendors. A great show maybe not the best Rush show I have seen, but they still get it done.Slideshow
