 8/4/2015 - Lewiston, New York - Today is Tuesday and we headed west to Lewiston to Artpark for another Tuesday In The Park show, tonight's act the blues soul sound of Tedeschi Trucks Band and their Wheels Of Soul Summer Tour. We rushed to make it to the show on-time but when we arrived heavy rains delayed the show for almost and hour and half. The opening act Doyle Bramahall II was cancelled. The second act Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings came out and did a great set of soul. The band was very tight and the horn section excellent. Sharon Jones sang thru the rain and wished a beautiful double rainbow in the middle of her performance. Doyle Bramhell II also came out and joined them for a number. After a short intermission Tedeschi Trucks Band hit the stage and did a great set. They opened with All That I Need and did some great covers including the Beatles, I've Got A Feeling and Elmore Jame's, The Sky Is Crying, being joined by Doyle Bramhall II again. All three did nice solos on this one, Trucks with the awesome slide, Doyle with the upside down guitar and Tedeschi with a nice jam. A really good show despite the rain and delays that finished with a three song encore including covers like Joe Cocker's, The Letter and Etta Jame's, Tell Mama. An excellent evening of entertainment.Slideshow |
