Bonham's Zep Joins Frampton Finale At Lakeview Amphitheater |

 7/3/2019 - Syracuse, New York - Today, I left work early and headed East down the NYS Thruway to St Joseph's Health Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse, New York to see Peter Frampton perform during his Peter Frampton Finale: The Farewell Tour. It was a nice evening and I picked up a single ticket at the last minute from Ticketmaster sitting center stage five rows back. The opening act for tonight show was the classic rock of Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening. They played a great set of Zeppelin tunes that included Good Times Bad Times, Ramble On and closed with Stairway To Heaven. After a short intermission, that included a roadies death defying climb to dismantle Bonham's stage setup Frampton and his band hit the stage. They also played a great set that included a little bit of everything. They played classic Frampton tunes like Lines On My Face, Show Me The Way and (I'll Give You) Money. They also played some great covers including Stevie Wonder's Sign, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours), Hoagy Carmichael's Georgia On My Mind and an excellent jam on Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun. They closed the set with Do You Feel Like We Do. The encore included the classic I Don't Need No Doctor and finishing with a cover of the Beatle's While My Guitar Gently Weeps. An excellent evening of truly classic rock that was well worth the trip and price of admission. Slideshow | |
