 4/15/2012 - Maui, Hawaii - Today was our last day on Maui and it started nicely with the final early morning beach walk in which we were greated with a rainbow over the island of Molokai. Before checkout time we drove down to Lahaina and had breakfast at one of are favorite island spots Moose McGillicuddys. We then reluctantly packed our stuff and toured the Kaanapali Shores grounds one last time for some final scenic views and pictures. One final journey in the car across the island back thru Kahului into the hippie town of Paia and stopping finally at Hookipa Beach to watch some world class windsurfers. We headed back to Kahului and had an early dinner at Zippy's Restaurant. We then headed back to Kapalua Airport and enjoyed some awesome views from this mini airport included panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, whales, and mountains. We hopped aboard the Island Air flight to Honolulu, then the long Honolulu to Chicago flight and finally Chicago back to Buffalo. Aloha to Maui until NEXT TIME..... 1 2 3 4Slideshow |
