Doobie Brothers Rock It Down The Highway To Artpark

7/9/2013 - Lewiston, New York - Another Tuesday and another awesome classic rock band at Artpark's Tuesday In The Park series todays band was the Doobie Brothers. We stopped for a quick dinner at Dom's favorite burger joint Reids. We arrived at Artpark forty minutes early and encountered a huge line of people. The show was soldout but we still managed to get a good spot for the concert despite the long lines. It was another perfect evening for a show. A Buffalo band called the Informers opened the show . They were just okay a decent cover band of old sixtys classics. In between acts we were entertained by finding Uncle Mike's clone. The Doobie Brothers came out shortly after and played a really good set. They opened the show with Jesus Is Just Alright. They sounded excellent and they drove through a bunch of there classic hits with great energy like Rockin' Down The Highway, Depending On You, Takin' To The Streets and finished the set with Long Train Runnin'. They came out and played a three song encore that included China Grove and Listen To The Music. The sellout crowd was not disappointed as the Doobies showed they could still put on a tremendous show. Dom was impressed with the band and their sound and setup including the two drummers, three guitar players and sax and organ. Thanks again Artpark....Slideshow
