 1/17/2015 - Hilton, New York - Today the weather got warm enough to allow us to play with our favorite new gadget, the DJI Phantom 2 Version 2 Quadcopter. The Phantom 2 was a post Christmas gift thanks to several gift returns and came the week after Christmas. We unboxed it, upgraded the firmware, installed the Zenmuse H3-3D Gimbal with the GoPro Hero 4 camera and added some prop guards to insure we had a successful first flight. We headed out to Village Elementary and were cautious on our first flight only to find out that the DJI Phantom 2 is the easiest thing we had ever flown. The Phantom handles tremendously easy and Zenmuse H3-3D Gimbal provides unbelievably stable video. We could not wait to get back out and headed to Quest for our second flight and flew it in some decent winds at a couple hundred feet. Again the Phantom 2 performed outstanding, showing great stability and easy flight maneuverability, not to mention capturing fantastic video. We can not wait for spring we will be out daily flying our coolest new toy... Slideshow |
