McCartney Brings One On One Tour To Syracuse Carrier Dome

9/23/2017 - Syracuse, New York - It was a gorgeous hot late September day and we hopped in the car and headed east down NYS Thruway to Syracuse's Carrier Dome to see Sir Paul McCartney perform during his One On One Tour. We left very early for this one due to the Billy Joel traffic jam debacle two years ago. We arrived several hours early and tried to eat at Ruby Tuesdays but the one we went to was closed so we settled for burgers at Johnny Rockets in Destiny Mall. We had no problems getting into the parking lot and were given front row VIP parking for no reason. We jumped on the bus and arrived at the Carrier Dome with plenty of time. We waited for the doors to open and headed into the completely sold out hot sauna like dome. McCartney came out promptly at 8PM and jammed a set containing a little bit of everything. for 3 hours. He opened with A Hard Days Night and played numerous Wings and Beatles tunes. The set included the George tribute of Something, the Quarrymen song that started it all In Spite Of All The Danger, and the explosive Live And Let Die, Eleanor Rigby and And I Love Her to name a few. The typical mega-encore included Helter Skelter, Yesterday, Birthday, and Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight to The End. Another fantastic Sir Paul experience that will never get old for me.Slideshow
