 12/8/1970 - Brooklyn, New York - Donato Florio of Brooklyn, New York passed away today Tuesday December 8, 1970 at the age of 53. Donato was born a twin brother with brother Guiseppine Florio on Wednesday January 26, 1917. They were the second and third children of six for parents Giacomo and Theresa (Grieci) Florio. Donato married wife Carmela DeFranco on August 5th 1939 in Brooklyn, New York. They had three children Jack Florio, Rocco Florio and Theresa Florio. Surviving are his widow, Carmela; two sons Jack of Lockport and Rocco of Brooklyn; daughter Theresa of Brooklyn; his mother Mrs Theresa Florio; four grandchildren Jack Jr, Micheal, Daniel and Brian; a brother John Florio and two sisters Josephine Florio and Elizabeth Florio Adams. He was predeceased by his father Giacomo (died 11/1970), twin brother Guiseppine (died 7/1927) and brother Pasqaule (died 3/1926). Slideshow |
