Legendary Burton Cummings Delights Lockport Fans

7/8/2011 - Lockport, New York - The one day everybody circled on the 2011 Molson Canal Concert series was today as the legendary leadman of the supergroup the Guess Who, Burton Cummings, peformed live at the Ulrich Center in downtown Lockport. Several acts opened none really worth mentioning just ok. Jack was able to get us All Access passes and we got to see Burton before he went on stage. Dom was the only person in the crowd to get a nice autographed picture of Burton just before he went on stage. Burton came out and played a tremendous show, he appeared to have great synergy with the packed crowd. He did not neglect to bash a band touring as the Guess Who and asked fans NOT to attend the imposters shows. Burton played many of his solo and Guess Who hits. He opened with No Sugar Tonight / New Mother Nature and played many hits including Laughing, Stand Tall, No Time, American Woman, These Eyes, Albert Flasher, Hand Me Down World, and finished with two encores first a fun cover version of Louie Louie and ending the evening with Share The Land. Everyone came out for this show including my mom. I would have to say there was not a single disappointed concert goer in the audience. An excellent show all the way around and free again no less.Slideshow
