The Steely Dan Who Knew Too Much Comes To Auditorium Theatre

10/8/2016 - Rochester, New York - Today we headed to downtown Rochester, New York to the Auditorium Theatre to see one our favorite bands, Steely Dan, on their The Dan Who Knew Too Much Tour. We arrived early and had good seats we purchased when they went on sale about fifteen rows back center stage. We wanted to see the opening act who we thought was going to be Steve Winwood according to the venue's website but turned out to be a no name jazz trio from Buffalo who were just okay. It was a big let down but Steely Dan came out soon after and played their typical great set. We had some issues with a drunk obnoxious fan sitting next to us who had to be physically removed from the venue by security. After the unruly fan was removed we were able to fully focus on the show which had the dynamic duo Becker and Fagan ripping thru their hits like Kid Charlemagne, Dirty Work, Peg and My Old School to name a few. Walter Becker played a lot of lead guitar in this show with help from the talented Jon Herrington. The band was pretty tight as usual with great horns and awesome backup singers that the sellout crowd loved. They finished the set with Reelin In The Years. They came out for a single encore of the classic Pretzel Logic. Another great show by the band that still just does not get old for me.
