Pat Travers Band Brings The Jams Down To The Tralf

9/27/2019 - Buffalo, New York - Today, I headed West down the NYS Thruway to downtown Buffalo, New York to see the classic rock guitar of the Pat Travers Band perform at The Tralf. I arrived early to a small line waiting for the general admission show. I met my brother Mike, buying him a ticket for the show which was also his birthday. We tried or should I say stuggled to figure out when we saw Pat Travers at After Dark in the early eighties. We secured a spot at a table literally right in front of Pat. We had some birthday drinks and watched the opening band from Rochester, STAVO. They were just okay doing some originals and some covers. Soon after Pat Travers came out and played a great set. He played classics like Crash and Burn, Born Under A Bad Sign and a nice big band cover of a song called Sing, Sing, Sing. He started jamming and someone called out Voodoo Chile and he cut right into it jamming it for a few minutes unplanned. He ended his set with Snortin' Whiskey and went right into Boom Boom Out Goes The Lights. He definitely showed he can still jam. Again, we literally were sitting right in front of him and got a guitar pick and handshake thanking him for a great show. He came back out for the encore and asked Mike for the pick back so he could play the last song. He closed with more Hendrix jamming on Come On and promptly gave the pick back. This was an excellent show in a great venue that was literally and shockingly only half full. My brother had a happy birthday.Slideshow
