 7/7/2011 - Canandaigua, New York - The free concert summer continued today with Deb providing free tickets to the Yes and Styx show at Constellation Brands - Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center better known as CMAC. Another gorgeous night for a concert, having just attended the other tour of Styx musicians on Friday in Lockport Dennis DeYoung, we were entertained today by the remaining members touring as Styx. Styx opened the show and started off kind of slow but as the show continued their playing got better. They played many of their hits including Blue Collar Man, The Grand Illusion, Come Sail Away, and an encore of Renegade. A decent performance at best. Yes took the stage and also started off slowly and also got better as the show progressed. Yes played alot of their popular tunes including Yours Is No Disgrace, I've Seen All Good People, and one of my personal favorites Heart Of The Sunrise. As the Yes show progressed we moved closer to the stage and took front row for the encore of Starship Trooper where Steve Howe put on a guitar playing clinic that Dom couldn't wait to get home and learn. A decent show overall even with the security guards hassling us, we will be back, CMAC is still a nice venue.Slideshow |
