Hall and Oates Open 2014 Artpark Tuesday In The Park Series

6/10/2014 - Lewiston, New York - The start of the Artpark 2014 Tuesday In The Park concert series opened with the eighties sounds of the duo Hall and Oates. It was a perfect evening clear and cool and the venue was sold out for this opening show. We arrived slightly late but managed to get are normal spot. The opening act was an acoustic solo artist named Mutlu from Philadelphia. He came out and played a great set of original acoustic songs and finished with a nice cover of Nobody Knows You When Your Down and Out. After a brief intermission Hall and Oates came on stage and played an excellent set of a diverse group of their hits. They opened with Maneater and played many of their other hits like She's Gone, Sara Smile and finished the set with I Can't Go For That. The band was pretty tight and this being the opening night of the tour, they showed they can still play and sing their hits. They came out for two encores, the first one they played Rich Girl and You Make My Dreams Come True. The second encore had the sold out crowd on its feet playing Kiss On My List and finishing the show with Private Eyes. A great start to the summer concert season, which concluded with a stop in Lockport for a late night Pizza Oven fix.Slideshow
