Theres Only One Way To Rock With Sammy Hagar At Artpark

7/29/2014 - Lewiston, New York - Is it Tuesday again already, yea another classic rock show in Lewiston at Arpark's Tuesday In The Park Concert series tonight the Red Rocker Sammy Hagar took the stage for his Journey Through The History Of Rock Tour. We left as usual hitting Reids for the quick dinner and arriving to a smaller than normal line. This show was not sold out and rain was forecast but was not a factor. The opener for tonights show was a local band, Maria Aurigema a local school teacher who plays the blues. She came out with her band and ripped thru an excellent set of blues jamming on her Fender Telecaster guitar. Her set was well received by the near sellout audience. Soon after Maria's whaling set, Sammy and his all-star band hit the stage. The band included Jason Bonham on drums, Michael Anthony playing bass and Vic Johnson on guitar. The show opened with a video tribute to Sammy and his forty years of rocking. The band came out to a raucous intro of all the band and then opened with There's Only One Way To Rock. They played a rocking set of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and Sammy Hagar tunes. They played classics like I Can't Drive 55, Good Times Bad Times, Moby Dick, Why Can't This Be Love, Heavy Metal and finished the set with Best Of Both Worlds. The encore set included Right Now, Rock and Roll and a decent acoustic version of Dreams. A very good show that was finished off with the Pizza Oven late night snack. Artpark scores again with another good show.Slideshow
