Dom And Hilton Jazz Ensemble Open Rochester Jazz Festival |

 6/19/2015 - Rochester, New York - Today Dominic and the Hilton High School Jazz Ensemble opened the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival in downtown Rochester, New York. This would be the jazz ensembles final performance of the school year. It was a beautiful evening for a show and the jazz band played on the outdoor stage. Under the direction of Jared Streif the band played a half hour set. The band opened with Brass Machine. The set included Dominic performing saxophone solos on two numbers Begin The Beguine and also on Undecided. The band sounded pretty good and they played to a nice size crowd. We are very proud of Dom and his band on the final performance of an excellent year of jazz. The jazz ensemble had some excellent experiences that included performing with world class musicians like Eddie Daniels and traveling to Disney World in Orlando to compete and win top honors. This performance at the Jazz Festival was great finish to the year, can't wait til next year.Slideshow | |
