Dead & Company Led By John Mayer Truckin Up To Buffalo

11/11/2015 - Buffalo, New York - In a last minute decision, we decided to truck off to Buffalo to First Niagara Center to catch the band Dead & Company perform. The band was made up of most of the remaining members of the Grateful Dead and special guest artist John Mayer. The late arriving sold out crowd filled the arena to take in what is as close to a Grateful Dead show as you can currently get. The band came out and played two full sets that were very well received by the Dead Heads. They opened with The Promised Land led by John Mayer jamming on the guitar for the next two and half hours. Mayer and Company jammed many classic Grateful Dead tunes including Sugar Magnolia, Truckin and U.S. Blues to name a few. They opened the second set with a great jam by Mayer on Viola Lee Blues leading in Wang Dang Doodle which was really the highlight of the show. It was obvious that Mayer and Bob Weir had good chemistry on stage and the crowd loved it. They closed the show with a single encore of Casey Jones. This was a very good show again with Mayer really taking the lead.Slideshow
