Bad Co And Joe Walsh Bring One Hell Of A Night To Darien |

 6/7/2016 - Corfu, New York - Today marked the start of this years summer concert schedule, I headed west to Darien Lake Performing Arts Center to start with a double dose of classic rock with Joe Walsh and Bad Company in their One Hell Of A Night Tour. I had excellent tickets for this one left center stage only five rows back. I arrived an hour prior to the show start and sold my two free lawn tickets to some scalpers for twenty bucks. The show started promptly at 7pm with Steve Rodgers, Paul Rodger's son, opening playing a short not that great set. Soon after Joe Walsh and his band came out and played a great but short set. They opened with the James Gang classic Walk Away. They played classics like Mother Says, Life's Been Good and closed the set with Rocky Mountain Way. A good short set from the old rocker, Paul Rodgers and Bad Company soon followed with their own excellent short set. Their set was just about all classics including Ready for Love, Can't Get Enough and a nice cover of the Beatles Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. The crowd was into it and the band was pretty tight with Paul Rodgers still delivering on vocals, Mick Ralphs jamming on guitar and Simon Kirke providing the drum beats. They finished with two encores Bad Company and then back out for a second and final one of Rock Steady. This was a great show and a good combo, nice start of the summer onslaught of shows.Slideshow | |
