Benatar,Giraldo & Etheridge Rock Artpark Tuesday In The Park |

 7/26/2016 - Lewiston, New York - Today is Tuesday in July and that means time to head west down route 104 to Lewiston, New York for my first Artpark Tuesday In The Park Concert of 2016 tonight's entertainment Pat Benatar with Neil Giraldo and Melissa Etheridge. It was a perfect evening for a show and I arrived an hour early to large lines. The venue filled up and looked close to a sellout. Etheridge opened the show playing a good set. She played her classics like Come To My Window, Bring Me Some Water, and closed with I'm The Only One singing the wrong verse and catching herself saying she has played it a million times. This was good opener for Benatar and Giraldo who hit the stage shortly after Etheridge. They played a very good set of Benatar's classics with Giraldo adding the extended guitar solos. She played her staples like Promises In The Dark, Hell Is For Children, Hit Me With Your Best Shot and closed the set with Love Is A Battlefield. Pat and Neil also did some acoustic numbers with the highlight being a tribute to Prince with a cover of When Doves Cry. They finished with a single encore of Heartbreaker and a bit of Ring Of Fire along with numerous guitar solo riffs provided by Giraldo. Benatar still has a good voice. It was a good show that was well received by the near sellout crowd.Slideshow | |
