Burton Cummings and April Wine Close Out Artpark 2016 Season

8/30/2016 - Lewiston, New York - Today we headed back to that favorite summer concert spot Artpark in Lewiston, New York to see the final Tuesday In The Park Concert of 2016, tonight a double dose of awesome Canadian rock with April Wine and Burton Cummings. We arrived early to this show and got in a close spot of the massive line that formed to get in for this show. Not sure but based on the crowd it must have been sellout show. The show was billed as the Canadian Hall of Fame Show that also included folk artist Buffy Sainte-Marie who opened the show. She was not really a good fit for this show. April Wine followed after her and played a good condensed set that included their hits like I Like To Rock, Roller and a nice cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man. After a brief intermission Burton Cummings and his band came out and played a fantastic but short set. He played classic after classic including Stand Tall, No Sugar Tonight, Laughing and closing with No Time which was appropriate for his condensed set to meet the time rule at Artpark. They did a good cover of Richard Bery's Louie Louie. He came out for one encore of Share The Land. A great closing show for the 2016 season that could have been better had time allowed, thanks for another good season of classics Artpark see you next year. Slideshow
