James Taylor And His All Star Band Return To Packed CMAC |

 6/28/2022 - Canandaigua, New York - Today, we headed South down the 332 into the heart of Canandaigua, New York to see the classic rock of James Taylor performing at Constellation Brands - Marvin Sands Peforming Arts Center or also known as CMAC. This show was a Deb freebie and we had decent tickets in the back of the shell and it was a perfect evening for a show no rain and cool temps made for a huge lawn crowd and a near sellout. There was no opener and James Taylor and His All Star Band came out just after 8PM and played two sets. He opened with Everyday and played some classics in the first set including Steamroller and That's Why I'm Here. After, a twenty minute intermission they began a hit filled set two, that included more classics like Up On The Roof, Carolina In My Mind, closing with Your Smiling Face. His All Star Band included local Rochester legendary drummer Steve Gadd, Lou Marini on Horns, Michael Landau on guitar and his son Henry Taylor helping on backup vocals. The sound was good and the band was pretty tight, that coupled with the large crowd, perfect weather led to a great evening. They finished the show with a three song encore that include Fire and Rain, Knock On Wood and finally You Can Close Your Eyes. Again, a good show and it was free, thanks Deb ! Slideshow | |
