Doing More Vegas And Night Three of Dead & Company at Sphere |

 6/1/2024 - Las Vegas, Nevada - After a great night two at Sphere, we were up and eating breakfast at Dennys on the strip getting strength for show three of three for us at the Sphere for more Dead & Company. We did a little more gaming today and hung at the Bellagio taking in the fountains and eating the buffet with pretty good prime rib and crab legs on another super 100+ degree day. We headed to the Sphere for show three in as many nights with Dead & Company. Our seats on this night, were in the same section as night one and two but one row up. The show started a little after 7:30 the same as the nights prior and the band played another excellent set. They opened the show with Alabama Getaway and again took off from San Francisco into space for another epic journey to a tropical rain forest, the pyramids in Egypt, under the sea, back into space and back again. The journey included going over the mountains and into the Dead's worm hole with a nice jam by John Mayer on Sugar Magnolia. Bob Weir did a great job on a cover of the Beatle's Dear Prudence and Mayer as usual added some tasty licks. The Sphere is an impressive facility but not just for the super hi-resolution graphics but also for the amazing audio quality. They closed the show with One More Saturday Night. They played the same amount of songs but the show was not as long as night one and two. Some of the graphics were the same but they also added a couple new ones that were excellent. It was a very cool experience seeeing Dead & Company in the Sphere for three consecutive nights. I think the Sphere, with it's unparallelled graphics and perfect sound has and will change the concert experience. We did more gaming after the show with this being our last full night in Vegas. The next day we had a late flight, a red eye from Vegas to Detroit then to Rochester. We took a drive and explored Red Rock Canyon, which provided some nice views, but again we were limited in exploring due to the extremely high temps. We grabbed a decent pizza dinner at Rocco's NY Pizzeria and then headed to the airport. Our flights were pretty much on time and we made it back to Rochester early the next day.
