 4/26/2010 - Maui, Hawaii - Our final days on Maui included sites, food, and just chillin out enjoying our favorite place. We took part of a day and made the awesome drive down the twisting turning Road to Hana. We made many stops taking in tremendous cliff top views and numerous waterfalls with the final stop Hana and Waianapanapa Beach park home of the Black Sand beach. We also stopped at Hookipa beach to watch some world class wind surfers. We went back to Lahaina for dinner at Bubba Gumps with excellent views of the Pacific and excellent food. We then headed back to the condo for drinks and chillin by the ocean side pool taking in another excellent Maui sunset. We finally journeyed back to Lahaina stopping at the Hard Rock Cafe and hitting some shops and art galleries. Our final day we had an early morning swim in the pool and were entertained by numerous humpback whales breaching just off shore in front of the condo. The whales put on an excellent show. We sadly left our condo at Kaanapali Shores and attempted to drive to the top of Mount Haleakala but had to turn back before reaching the peak to make our flight home. We stopped for a quick dinner at Ruby's Diner then off to the Lihue Airport to catch the long flight back to the mainland from Maui to Los Angeles to Cincinnati and finally back to Buffalo. Another sad Aloha to Hawaii til next time.
