 9/1/2012 - Pittsford, New York - Today we took a drive to the village of Pittsford, New York for a journey down the Erie Canal on a replica Sam Patch tour boat. It was a beautiful September day for a trip down the canal which took us thru Lock 32 in Pittsford. We were joined by famous Erie Canal author Gerry Stafford who was trying to promote her new book the Young Canaller. The trip was both relaxing and educational as we travelled down the canal in a boat similar to how they did a hundred plus years ago, except for the motor. We finished the day with a nice dinner at the historic canal side restaurant Richardson's Canal House.Slideshow |
