 3/10/2018 - Maui, Hawaii - The annual trip, this being our eleventh year, to our home away from home Maui, Hawaii started today. We drove north of the border to Toronto staying overnight at the Radisson Toronto Airport getting up early to catch our United flight from Toronto Pearson Airport to Chicago to San Francisco and finally to our ultimate destination Kahului Airport in gorgeous Maui. We drove across the island ending up at our penthouse ocean view condo at Kaanapali Shores. The first days of our trip included dinner at Java Jazz and the trek to the Super Walmart in Kahului for the weeks worth of supplies. We spent the first days exploring our favorite town Lahaina taking in sites with pictures and drone footage including lunch at our favorite spot Pi Artisan Pizzeria. We drove east across the island to our favorite beach Makena Big Beach enjoying a great day on the beach and also sneaking a peak at Little Beach. The first days also included spending time at our favorite west side beach and snorkeling spot the gorgeous Kapalua Bay. We took in a nice sunset at the condo and then headed back to Lahaina for a show at Fleetwood's On Front Street featuring Mick Fleetwood and his local band. A good show that included Fleetwood Mac tunes and many covers, a cool last minute decision to see the drummer perform at his place. A typical welcome back to our home away from home.Slideshow |
