Yes and Friends Bring The Royal Affair Tour To Artpark

6/25/2019 - Lewiston, New York - It's Tuesday in June so where else would I be headed but West to Lewiston, New York for an evening of tunes from Yes and Friends during the Royal Affair tour at Artpark's Tuesday In The Park Concert series. A nice night of music that started with Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy. Their short set included classic ELP tunes like Hoedown and Fanfare For The Common Man with Carl Palmer doing a nice drum solo. The next act was John Lodge from the Moody Blues who played numerous Moody Blues tunes including Gemini Dream, Isn't Life Strange and closing with Ride My See-Saw being joined by Yes lead singer Jon Davison. The nonstop music continued with Asia hitting the stage and playing a good set. The band played their hits like Don't Cry, and a nice Buggle's cover of Video Killed The Radio Star. Carl Palmer was on drums and Steve Howe joined the band halfway thru the set for the remainder of it for classics like Sole Survivor, Only Time Will Tell, and closing with The Heat Of The Moment. A good set by the band. After a short intermission the final band of the evening took the stage, Yes. Yes did a shortened but great set of classics that included Tempus Fugit, Going For The One and I've Seen All Good People. The band sounded great and Steve Howe continues to amaze on guitar. The encore included a great cover of John Lennon's Imagine and closing with Roundabout. An excellent evening of entertainment !Slideshow
