Roadtrip To Toronto Includes Yanks, Tower, Cup, Sites & Fun

8/4/2009 - Toronto, Canada - Today was the start of a father son trip north of the border to Toronto. The roadtrip started early with a quick drive across the border where we encountered little to no traffic and a zero wait on the Rainbow Bridge. We arrived mid morning at our hotel at the Rogers Centre the Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown. We were able to check in immediately to what was a nice room with a decent city view. We started our adventure with a trip to the top of the CN Tower which offered tremendous views of the Toronto area. We then journeyed farther downtown for a quick lunch at Union Station then onto the Hockey Hall of Fame where we held the infamous Stanley Cup. The rain came down hard at this point and we made are way back to the hotel via the Skyway with a quick stop at the Hard Rock Cafe. We then took a quick dip in the hotel's pool, hottub and sauna. We then attended Dom's first MLB game featuring the Blue Jays vs Yankees at the Rogers Centre. We had good seats sitting on the first base line. The Yankees won the game 5-3, getting three solo homers against Toronto pitching ace Roy Halladay. We had an excellent time at the game. The next day included a journey to the Ontario Science Centre which offered some excellent educational fun. We then started back home stopping at Niagara Falls for some site seeing of the Falls and Clifton Hill area. This included a stop at the Rock Legends Wax Museum, where Dom hung with some of the biggest rock stars. An excellent and exhausting trip.Slideshow
