 7/1/2011 - Lockport, New York - Today we attended our first Molson Canal Concert Series show of 2011 at the Ulrich Centre in downtown Lockport featuring Styx leadman Dennis DeYoung. We arrived in Lockport early taking in a quick dinner at Dom's favorite burger spot in the world Reids. We then went to downtown Lockport and took in the opening acts featuring some good and not so good acts. We both enjoyed the local band the Albrights and Dom snagged a shirt in the crowd. Dennis DeYoung and his band came out and performed a great set including most of Styx's greatest hits. The band opened with Grand Illusion and added such classics as Lady, Lorelei, Blue Collar Man, Suite Madam Blue and two encores Renegade and Come Sail Away. Dennis's show was full of energy and was enjoyed by everyone. A special guest also showed up for the show my old friend Joey was in the area on business from Plano, Texas. A nice start to the Molson Rocks The Canal series for us.Slideshow |
