Robert Cray Jams At Bluesfest In Highland Park

7/15/2011 - Rochester, New York - Today at Highland Park in downtown Rochester, New York, Robert Cray headlined at the Big Rib BBQ & Bluesfest. We headed down early and got our spot in the front row center of the stage for the entire show. We were greeted by are fellow Robert Cray fans from Lewiston who joined us at the shows at Buffalo Marina. We watched an excellent opening band Hot Sweets featuring Todd East and the Prime Time Funk Players. Todd East performed lead vocals and keyboard and sounded exactly like Stevie Wonder and played like him to. This band was followed by bluesman Joe Beard who put on an excellent show of blues and guitar, a perfect opener for Robert Cray. Robert Cray came out and played an absolutely amazing show. He jammed some of his classic hits including Sitting On Top Of The World, Smoking Gun and finished with Time Makes Two as the final encore. After the show Dom got one of Robert's picks he was using during the show. This is the fourth year in a row Dom and I have seen Robert and he continues to amaze with his awesome guitar work.Slideshow
