 6/19/2012 - Lewiston, New York - Today the rock band Kansas opened the 2012 Tuesday In The Park series at Artpark in Lewiston, New York. We decided at the last minute to go and take in the first show of the year. It was a perfect evening and we arrived early as usual to scope out the renovations at Artpark. The crowds were definitely smaller probably due to the fact that the shows are not free anymore but cost only five bucks per person. The opening band was a local band who were not really that good I forget there name thankfully. Kansas came out and did a good set of the most of their hits. Including Point Of No Return, The Wall, The Other Side and finishing the set with Miracles Out of Nowhere. They played two encore songs finishing with Carry On My Wayward Son. The band definitely showed their age physically and performing wise. Steve Walsh struggled at vocals to even come close to his youthful voice. But overall the music was good and the vocals just okay. Still a great way to spend a Tuesday evening.Slideshow |
