Bad Company Rocks Steady In The Heat At Tuesday In The Park

7/16/2013 - Lewiston, New York - Another Tuesday and another soldout Artpark Tuesday In The Park show todays awesome classic rock band was Bad Company. After encountering large lines in prior shows we left earlier than usual getting to Artpark and hour and fifteen minutes early and still encountered large lines. It was unbelievably hot and we spent alot of money staying hydrated for this one. The opening act was the Billy Spanton Band who provided a decent opener of some southern type rock. The heat continued but when the sunset it made it more bearable. Bad Company came on, celebrating their forty year anniversary as a band, and played a great set. They opened with Rock'n'Roll Fantasy and blasted thru many of there classic tunes being carried by the energetic performance and strong vocals of their lead man Paul Rodgers. They played many hits including Burnin' Sky, Movin' On, Shooting Star, and closed the set with Can't Get Enough. Rodgers seemed impressed by the venue admiring the sunset prior to starting Movin' On. Despite the heat the crowd loved it and the band came out and played three encores. The encores were strong starting with Bad Company then Rock Steady. The finale was an acoustic rendition of Seagull with Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs jamming that was excellent. This was a good show but man was it HOT! Slideshow
