Bonham's Zeppelin Experience Rips Thru Downtown Lockport

7/26/2013 - Lockport, New York - Today we took the drive west to check out the Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience at the Labatt's Canal Concert series in downtown Lockport. We arrived early at the concert site. We were surprised to see Jason Bonham and his band performing an extensive sound check. They sounded great an excellent sneak preview. The opening bands were both not bad TimeGiant and DoDriver did a good job entertaining the growing crowd. Jason and his band came out just after nine and jammed and awesome set of Zeppelin for two plus hours. A pretty good size crowd attended this one as they opened with Rock And Roll and Black Dog. The set contained classic Zeppelin including No Quarter, Since I've Been Loving You and finishing the set with what else Stairway To Heaven. The sound was awesome and the guitar and vocals were as close to Zeppelin as you can get without actually seeing them. The guitarist, Tony Catania, played like Page and matched him guitar for guitar including the awesome two neck Gibson. The lead singer did not look like Plant but definitely sounded like him and the crowd sang along the whole show. Jason Bonham on drums was great and talked of how great it was to be doing this in honor of his dad. They finished the night with a final encore of Whole Lotta Love. A great night of rock.Slideshow
