The Doobie Brothers Long Train Running Back To Artpark

8/25/2015 - Lewiston, New York - We headed west today on this Tuesday to watch the classic rock of the Doobie Brothers play at our favorite summer concert spot Artpark in Lewiston, New York. It was a nice evening for a show and it was another sellout crowd. We relied on our friend, Larry, to save our spot. The opening act was Pat Simmons Jr the son of the Doobie Brothers guitarist. He was from Hawaii and preached to the crowd on saving the environment while playing his acoustic guitar and ukulele. He was joined by his dad and they played a nice cover of the America song Ventura Highway. Soon after the Doobie Brothers came out and played a really great show. They opened the set with Jesus Is Just Alright and played many classics. They played Eyes of Silver with a nice sax solo by Mark Russo, Depending On You and Takin It To The Streets to name a few. They played an acoustic set that included South City Midnight Lady and finished the set with Long Train Runnin. They came out for a three song encore that opened with China Grove and finished with Listen To The Music. The band was pretty tight and with Billy Payne from Little Feat on keyboards they put on a great show. The Doobies still can entertain thanks again Artpark.Slideshow
