Robert Cray Band Rocks The Showroom At Turning Stone Resort |

 2/19/2016 - Verona, New York - In a last minute decision, we decided to take a day trip east down the NYS Thruway to Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY to see one of my favorite blues guitarists the Robert Cray Band. We arrived a little early and had an excellent surf and turf dinner at Turning Stone's The Emerald Restaurant. I had contacted the Turning Stone box office earlier in the week and picked up a great ticket center stage three rows from the stage. The Showroom was a very nice venue and only seated about seven hundred people. The Robert Cray Band came out promptly at 8PM and played an almost two hour set. The band was its usual tight self and they played a typical set that included hits like Right Next Door, Sitting On Top Of The World, Chicken In The Kitchen and one of my favorites On The Road Down. They finished the set with a just okay version of the classic Time Makes Two. They came out for a two song encore closing with You Move Me. A great show that never gets old for me in a very nice venue We will be back for sure.Slideshow | |
