 3/16/2018 - Maui, Hawaii - Today started getting up early and having a nice breakfast on the lanai at our ocean view condo at Kaanapali Shores. The destination today was to hop in the car and head east across Maui to journey down the Road To Hana. It was a perfect day and we left early heading down the winding, hairpin turn and single lane bridge filled road that is the Road To Hana. We let Bob are iPhone guide help us thru the journey stopping at many sites and waterfalls along the way. We stopped at Halfway to Hana getting some much needed flavored ice. We stopped at the gorgeous Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach just outside Hana. We drove thru the town of Hana onto Haleakala National Park to the Seven Sacred Pools at Ohe'o. Thus stop included walking our favorite trail the Pipiwai Trail thru the bamboo forest and onto the beautiful Waimoku Falls. Another great day was had on the Road to Hana and we drove back the same way we came just to be safe this time, no drama! Slideshow |
