Bachman & Cummings Together At Budweiser Stage In Toronto

7/19/2022 - Toronto, Canada - Today, I headed North of the border into Canada for the first time in almost three years to see the legendary Canadian classic rock of Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings perform at the Budweiser Stage in downtown Toronto. I started the plan for this journey several days prior setting up an ArriveCAN app to allow me passage into Canada on the day of the concert at the Queenston Lewiston Bridge. I hit the bridge on-time but was flagged by the Department of Homeland Security to have my car x-rayed, the first time ever for me ! My car passed the x-ray test and I entered into Canada just by showing my passport. I made it to Toronto without issue, no big traffic on this very HOT 99 degree day! I was several hours early and decided to park at the Budweiser Stage venue and then enjoyed some time in Trillium Park with nice views of Toronto. I scored an excellent low priced ticket off StubHub eighth row just right of center stage literally a couple hours before the show. Bachman and Cummings came out at about eight PM and played a great set of Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive, and Burton Cummings hits. They opened the show with No Sugar Tonight and played other classics like Laughing, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet and These Eyes. Bachman sat on a stool for most of the set and Cummings sounded pretty good on this wickedly hot evening. The band was Cumming's touring band and they were pretty tight. They closed the set with No Time and came out for a two song encore of Share The Land and finale of Taking Care Of Business. It was a great return to Canada for me allowing me to see these living legends play together one more time. I was out of the venue quickly and made it back home in almost record time, no issues with traffic or at the border. The door to Canada is open, I will return shortly.Slideshow
