 10/29/2022 - Buffalo, New York - In a last minute decision, we decided to head West down the NYS Thruway to downtown Buffalo, New York to watch our Buffalo Sabres take on the visiting Chicago Blackhawks at Keybank Center. We picked up a couple decent tickets on Ticketmaster at the last minute and headed to Buffalo. We arrived early with little to no traffic concerns and decided to stop at the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino for some gaming action. Deb won a couple bucks on slots and we headed to the game. The small crowd watched the Sabre's Victor Olofsson open the scoring on the Power Play to give the Sabres the early 1-0 lead. The Blackhawks answered with three consecutive goals taking a 3-1 lead into the third period. The Sabres rallied in the third with Tage Thompson scoring twice to send the game into overtime. Just as the scoring began in the first period, the game ended with Victor Olofsson scoring the game winning goal on the Power Play in overtime to give the Sabres the win 4-3 in a great come from behind overtime victory.
