John Mayer Brings Solo Acoustic Tour North Of The Border |

 3/20/2023 - Toronto, Canada - Today, I headed North of the border into Canada, to go see John Mayer perform his only concert date in Canada on his Solo Acoustic tour at the Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto. I grabbed a ticket last minute a few hours before the show on Ticketmonster and headed to Canada. I took the Queenston Lewiston Bridge into Canada with minor wait times and then headed to Kipling Station just on the West outskirts of Toronto to catch the TTC train to Union Station. I headed into the show as soon as the doors opened and grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed to my seat which was decent at center ice right stage twenty plus rows up. The show started around 7:45 with the opener being a local Canadian artist JP Saxe who played a good short set. He was excited to be playing Scotiabank Arena for the first time in his career and on top of that John Mayer came out and did a new song they collaborated on called I Don't Miss You. Mayer came out shortly after and did a good set of acoustic numbers and a couple on the piano. He opened the show with Slow Dancing In A Burning Room and played some old and new in the first set including Neon, Driftin' and Your Body Is A Wonderland. He then did a short piano set then another acoustic set that included Who Says and Stop This Train. To close the show he brought out the double neck acoustic and played a couple numbers closing the show with Edge Of Desire. He came out for a two song encore first playing Born and Raised and closing the night with a cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin'. The near sellout crowd enjoyed the show which I thought was good but not great. I was able to quickly exit the arena and catch the train back to Kipling Station and then across the border back home.
