Dr Dirty John Valby Peforms Annual Show At Sold Out Riviera |

 2/22/2025 - North Tonawanda, New York - In a last minute decision, I decided to head to downtown North Tonawanda, New York to the lovely Riviera Theatre to see the classic comedy of Dr Dirty, John Valby. I picked up a ticket at the last minute and found a single ticket front row center. This was the forth year in a row for me attending Dr Dirty's show at the Riviera. The show was sold out and started promptly at 7:30 with local comdedian Rob Lederman opening the show the same as last year. Lederman did a half hour set of just okay material and was literally on the clock for the show to make sure he did thirty minutes as they said he was five minutes short last year. After a brief intermission, Dr Dirty hit the stage and although appearing a little frail the eighty year old came out and did a great set of his classic and some new material. He appeared in good spirits and was pretty sharp for most of the set. The sell out Riviera Theatre definitely loved the set. He played alot of classic material and talked of his health issues which have limited his performing saying this was his first performance in months. Again for eighty years old I would say he did an excellent job and told the crowd he was destined to live to 88 years old since he lived his life on the piano 88 keys. He asked the crowd to come see him again next year, I guess I will have to be there, thanks Dr Dirty see you next year. Slideshow | |
