Samantha Fish Back At Buffalo's Asbury Hall For Annual Jam |
|---|
5/31/2026 - Buffalo, New York - In a last minute decision, I grabbed a ticket to see Samantha Fish perform for the third straight year at the intimate Asbury Hall in downtown Buffalo. I picked up a general admission ticket and headed west onto 90 then down the 33 into the heart of Buffalo. I arrived in time to get a great seat dead center less than ten rows back at the sold out Asbury Hall. The opening act was a couple of Lockport boys Ed Koban and David Stoll who played a decent opening set of blues numbers a good opener for Samantha Fish. This is the third year in a row seeing Samantha at Asbury Hall and she came out and played another energetic set of blues as part of her Paper Doll Tour. She opened the show with Paper Doll and did a great cover of Barbara Lewis's Hello Stranger. She played a little of everything including Sweet Southern Sounds, Somebody's Always Trying and she broke out the cigar box guitar for some Bulletproof and Miles To Go. She sounded good and was happy for another sellout crowd at Asbury Hall where she seemed very happy to be back playing at. Her band was pretty tight on this evening with Ron Johnson on bass, Jamie Douglass on drums, and Mickey Finn on the keys. They finished the show with Goin' Down South. The sellout Asbury Hall crowd was definitely entertained, I guess we will probably see you next year Samantha.
