 4/11/2007 - Maui, Hawaii - Our journey on Maui continued today as we explored the western and central southern coasts of Maui from Kahakuloa to Ma'alaea Bay. While exploring the great western beaches and lookouts, we were stopped dead in are tracks by wild donkeys in the road who attempted to join us in the car ! We then journeyed to Lahaina to cruise the many shops and art galleries. We then went on a dinner cruise which left from Lahaina harbor with the Pacific Whale Foundation, which provided us some awesome views of Maui and also an encounter with some humpback whales. The trip then moved on to central Maui where we visited Ma'alaea Bay and the Maui Ocean Center. The ocean center was excellent with the shark and stingray tank being the highlight.
