Birthday Getaway To The Falls For Gambling, Music and Fun |

 2/25/2012 - Niagara Falls, Ontario - Today to celebrate my 47th birthday Deb took me for an overnight getaway north of the border to the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Niagara Falls, Ontario. We had a decent room which provided us with a nice rainbow view of the Horseshoe Falls. We went out for a nice seafood dinner and headed back across the Rainbow Bridge to Seneca Niagara Casino for a concert featuring the excellent guitar work of Larry Carlton at the Bears Den. The Bears Den is an excellent small venue and Larry Carlton's trio, including his son playing bass, put on a great show playing some Steely Dan and other fine jazz and contemporary works finishing with his classic Room 335. After the show we did some gambling at Seneca Niagara Casino then headed back over the bridge for some more gambling at the Fallsview Casino. I can only hope that more great artists will come play on my birthday at these great venues in the future, an excellent way to spend a birthday !Slideshow | |
